This interesting Persian piece is 4ft 4in x.8ft 9in in size and has a wool foundation and pile. It has 70 knots per square inch and is woven with muted colors of navy, browns, red, a deep forest green, medium blue and ivory. The large repeating flowers or leaves create lines of interest in the carpet. This piece is worn thin in areas and is missing some of the outer wrap of the side bindings. I believe this to be woven during the first quarter of the 20th century.
